31 Days: Let’s Just Be Honest Day 31: The End

Y’all! It’s the end of my 31 day challenge.  Let’s Just Be Honest I really didn’t think I could do it.  October is a notoriously busy month for me.  Other things thrown in there this year have made it even more so, but wow.  This has been fun.

I love writing and getting my thoughts on paper.  It really helps me express myself and make sense of all that is going on in my head.  This 31 days has really shown me that even more clearly.

What do you love to do?  Do you know what you love?  See, I’m not one to go on and on about what I love to do because I’ve never really known what I love to do.  God is teaching me what I love, though, and writing is one of them.  So I plan to keep going.  I plan to keep writing.  Life gets in the way of blogging a lot and sometimes it really takes the back burner, but I’m hoping that doesn’t happen that often anymore.  🙂

Thanks for enduring with me on these 31 days.  I’ve loved it!

31 Days: Let’s Just be Honest Day 30: Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement.  Do you know what it means?

acceptance of the truth or existence of something; the action of expressing or displaying gratitude or appreciation for something

Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior?  If you do, the very first time you met Him you submitted your life to Him.  To His rule, His reign, His Lordship, His supremacy, His power, His authority.  Sounds heavy, doesn’t it?  When it happens though, it’s freeing.  It’s usually a culmination of realization that you cannot handle this life on your own, your ways aren’t working, nor should they because you have no authority over this life.  Your eyes and heart have been opened by the power of the Holy Spirit to reveal all truth to you (John 16:13); The Truth is: you need saving.  You need Jesus to wash all your sin away and bring you back into a right relationship with God.  And you submit your life to that.  To Him. Trusting that what He did by dying for you on the Cross will do just that.

Acknowledgement is doing a form of that every day in prayer.   More

They are a few days shy of being 3 years apart.  No, we didn’t do it on purpose … it just happened.  So we’re in the midst of parties and birthdays and trying to love them well.  We have a few birthday traditions including going out for dinner wherein the birthday person gets to pick the place for dinner.  This year another tradition starts … using this plate all day.  I like this plate and what it reads.

31 Days: Let’s Just Be Honest Day 20: Apple Cider

Let’s just be honest: Autumn is my favorite season.  Yes, winter has christmas and spring is when I was born and summer is full of fun, beaches and sunshine, but there is something about Autumn.  The reprieve in heat, the cooling off, the changing of the leaves (that I get to look at in magazines because here in Austin things just go from green to brown!).  We got chilly this past week.  Low of 52 one night and high of 59 the next day.  It was great!!!  So we made apple cider.  It was super easy.  Have you ever done it this way?
