Hopeful about today

I’m really hopeful about today.  It’s 8AM and it has already been great.  We’re out of school and that just brings a huge *whew* about us.  We all got to sleep in a bit.  How funny that 6:30 is sleeping in to me!  We’re all still in our p.j.’s … just now eating breakfast.

In enjoying the morning, I realized I am so hopeful about today.  Hopeful that we can just all have fun together.  I do have things I want to get done, but fun things the kids will have fun doing with me: baking, errands for daddy’s christmas present, a christmas craft.  I’m also hopeful for just having extended time with my 6-year-old.  I’m hopeful for spiritual conversations we can have that are harder to get to amidst the busy school schedule.  I’m hopeful for a teachable heart in her & I and to see the Holy Spirit moving in the life of my family.

What are you hopeful for today and this holiday season?

Jesus, I actively put my trust in you today that you will deliver on the hope I feel inside.  May I hope for things you desire for me and my family; and if my day takes a different turn, I trust your best for me.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13
