I get tired of my heart sometimes. I wrote in June that I am trying to live with a more thankful attitude. I love writing the things in my daily life that bring me joy, but reallysome days it seems hard to come up with something to put on paper. Really! My whole life should be a symphony of thanksgiving to God, yet I have days where I struggle to peep out one little thank you Lord, I am so grateful for… I subscribe to a blog called
A Holy Experience <annvoskamp@gmail.com>
Holly is the one who told me about it. It is wonderful. Ann Voskamp wrote a best selling book called One Thousand Gifts:
I have never read the book, but her blog inspires me to change the way I view life, to look at the ways God has gifted me and how to frame each wonderful blessing in my mind-like a picture. She is a great photographer. She writes a bit poetically, so sometimes it is a little hard to follow, but I encourage you to check out her blog. I have started my 1,000 gifts list and today is day 45 or so- you can see I still have a way to go. Hopefully at the end of my journey, I will be able to see the abundance of gifts God has given me on a daily basis. I challenge you to join me in giving thanks to God for the little and the big gifts He bestows on all His children.
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High”
Psalm 92:1
